We have called our property "Takap​ō Retreat"to reflect the traditional Maori ancestry of the Ngāi Tahu people that has been passed down through the generations.  It connects us to the landscape and the heritage of the region.

Takapō Retreat's stunning accommodation offers breath taking views of Lake Tekapo from a large sun drenched deck with spa pool, ideal for viewing the stars and the Southern Lights. Views of the Lake and surrounding mountains throughout the house.

Our outdoor fireplace and alfresco eating area is comfortable and a great place to spend time entertaining and relaxing by the swimming pool. There is a second large spa pool under a Louvertech shelter at the rear of the property.

We have full mobility services for wheelchair access.

Located in the heart of Tekapo, walking distance to local Supermarket, restaurants and the new World Class Observatory and the famous Church, The Church of the Good Shepherd. Lake fishing, skiing, ice rink, and hot pools are near by, with walking and cycling tracks located around the perimeter of the lake, this property offers everything you could possibly need for an incredible holiday. ​
